The bone phone, 1992
The Motorola International 3200, from 1992, was one of the first digital phones, and one of the first to use the GSM standard still in use across much of the world.
In Germany this model became known as the "Knochen", meaning "bone". To best appreciate how far portable electronics and computing have come, hold your own cellphone up to to your monitor.
